Dear Momauguin Families,

Get ready for a busy and exciting couple of weeks ahead! We have several important events and dates coming up, starting with our Parent-Teacher Organization (PTO) Meeting this week.

Momauguin School PTO Meeting will be Wednesday, December 10th, at 5:30 PM at the Bradford Manner Fire Station Hall. We encourage all families to attend and share their ideas! If you are unable to make it in person, a virtual meeting link will be sent 30 minutes prior to the start time.

The PTO will be hosting their annual Holiday Craft activity for students during the school day this Friday, December 12th. Also this Friday, December 12th, students are invited to wear their pajamas for our annual fundraiser benefiting CT Children's Hospital.

Need a couple of hours to wrap presents or finish your holiday shopping? School staff is hosting a special fundraiser event. Staff Babysitting Night will be Tuesday, December 16th. Students are welcome to join us for a fun night of dinner and a movie, allowing caregivers some precious time to prepare for the holidays!

We invite all families to join us next week for our Winter Concerts! Our students have worked so hard and are excited to perform.

Winter Concerts: Friday, December 19th

9:30 AM – 10:30 AM: Grades 4-5 Band and Music Concert
11:00 AM – 12:00 PM: Grades K-3 Music Concert

Report cards will be mailed out early this week!. You can also access your student's grades and reports digitally through the PowerSchool platform.

So many wonderful things to share this time of year!

LINGO BINGO

Our Lingo Bingo Family Literacy Night was a wonderful success! Families enjoyed a dinner together before diving into the evening's activities. Students were captivated as they heard a lively story presented in both English and Spanish. The highlight of the night was playing BINGO using vocabulary words and their synonyms, making learning fun and interactive. Every Momauguin student went home with a free book! Thank you to everyone who joined us for this celebration of family and literacy.

Fantastic Fall Student Recognition Assembly

We are thrilled to share the news about our Fantastic Fall Student Recognition Assembly, which took place this past Friday, December 5th!

The entire student body came together for a wonderful celebration of achievement and positive character. We recognized outstanding students from every single class for their hard work, dedication, and contributions to our school community this fall.

A special highlight of the assembly was the recognition from our specialist teachers. We are proud to announce the students who showed outstanding effort in art, technology, music and physical education.

Please join us in congratulating all of our recognized students for setting a fantastic example for their peers! Their efforts truly embody what it means to be an ORCA Scholar!

We look forward to our next recognition event!

Attention Families of Grade 5 Students

There is a great opportunity for your child to have a fun night out with friends in a safe, supervised environment. The East Haven Youth Service Teen Center is hosting an event this Friday, December 12th, from 7 - 9 pm. This is only open to grade 5 and grade 6 students. Students must be pre-registered to attend. Please visit easthavenrecreation.org to register for this event.

Family Resource Center

The East Haven Family Resource Center is based out of Momauguin Elementary School and Overbrook Early Learning Center.

The Family Resource Center offers:

Free diapers through our Diaper Bank
Free food at our biweekly Mobile Food Share
Parenting support and early intervention through resources, referrals, and our home visitation program with developmental screenings
Parent workshops twice a month
Play and Learn groups for children not yet enrolled in school

The mission of the Family Resource Center is to support families on their parenting journey and make sure every child has access to the resources they need to grow, learn, and thrive.

Breakfast and Lunch are FREE for all EHPS Students

All students who attend East Haven Public Schools are eligible to receive a free healthy breakfast and a free nutritious lunch at school everyday during the school year through the Community Eligibility Provision (CEP). Click Here for the monthly menu.
